M has no desire to feature in photos here and as you can imagine he was in a lot of them, but this is what I can share…
Noosa was not what we were expecting and super busy when we were there, but the National Park is definitely worth seeing – super beautiful and amazing for walks. Eating highlights were definitely Peter Kuruvita’s Beach House & Sails.
On the drive down to Brisbane we stopped at the Glasshouse Mountains. Beautiful part of the world & definitely worth seeing. Brisbane is super different to Melbourne – we got in mid Saturday afternoon and could find almost no where open for lunch (we ended up in a food court..), and a Sunday morning search for a breakfast spot also ended in eating a room service breakfast in the hotel. Maybe we just didn’t know where to go… we sure loved Jamie’s Italian though (we don’t have one in Melbourne).
Now this is a special place. We stayed at the absolutely perfect Beach Club and the second we arrived at the airport we felt like we were finally on the luxury honeymoon we imagined – french champagne on arrival, beautiful luxury beach front room, amazing infinity pool overlooking the beach. Hamilton Island is just so relaxed, tropical and perfect. Highlights were a cockatoo taking off the sugar bowl lid on the breakfast table to try and get the sugar (they are super super confident over there), walking through the national park (take water and a decent level of fitness), driving around in a golf buggy, eating at Mariners, cocktail after cocktail… we didn’t do many activities as we wanted to chill out and know we’ll do them next time we’re there. We will definitely be back…..
